The Church Family at Christchurch Jaffa Anglican Church

With our first service having taken place on the 2nd September 2021 at Beit Immanuel, this marked the beginning of the restorarion of the Anglican presence in Jaffa and Tel Aviv. We formed, by God's grace, a new congregation from scratch, and have a particular emphasis on serving not just the local community but also Anglicans working and serving in the Diplomatic Community. We hope you can join us and our Church Family as we worship now on Sunday mornings each week at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, which we hire for our services.

We are a small congregation made up of locals, international students, foreign workers, and diplomats. Numbers vary each week, and due to the nature of our congregation we often have people join us just 'for a season' before returning to thier home country. We welcome all who wish to join us for worship, which is of a traditional Anglican style. Christchurch Jaffa upholds the historic teachings of the Apostlic Church, and Biblical orthodoxy.

The congregation, and visitors, are invited to join us for Morning Prayer on Zoom on weekdays, and our weekly Bible Study, also held on Zoom. The congregation also supports Aviv Ministries in the centre of Tel Aviv, who minister to the homeless and those who have fallen on hard times, and who provide practical help and assistance to those in need.

Being seen in the community is important, and is a visual reminder that the Church is part of the very mixed and diverse community of Tel Aviv-Yafo. You will often see our priest, Fr Kevin, walking around Jaffa, so do stop and talk if you would like a chat - he will be very happy to see you!

We are a friendly group of people, and many of the congregation come from different Christian backgrounds and traditions ranging from House Churches to more traditional Churches such as Methodists, Lutherans, and Presbyterians. The important things for us is to recognise and learn from each other as we come together to worship and pray.

Why not come and join us one Sunday?
