Welcome!
Thank you for visiting the website for the Anglican congregation of Christchurch, Jaffa. The website is still under construction so please bear with us as many of the links will not currently work!
Our small congregation began two years ago, under the name of St Peters Anglican Congregation. To reflect our connection with Christchurch Jerusalem, and the Israel Trust of the Anglican Church, the congregation has been renamed Christchurch Jaffa in recognition of our belonging to a larger church family. Our Anglican Church family mainly serves the Christian expatriate and diplomatic community of Jaffa and Tel Aviv, and of course is open to local residents too who may wish to come and join us.
Our services are of a traditional Anglican style, and we meet for worship every Sunday morning at 1000 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church building at 15 Bar Hoffman Street, Jaffa. After the service, most of the congregation go to the Beit Immanuel Christian Guest House for coffee, and you would be more than welcome to join us. For more information on Beit Immanuel click here.
Our next service of Anglican Holy Communion begins at 10:00am Sunday 8th December, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Jaffa.
Please also join us for the service of Midnight Mass at 2330 (11:30pm) on Christmas Eve, the 24th of December.
In the event of disruption due to the current situation, we still intend to worship as normal if this is possible. Follow guidance on gatherings and any local restrictions etc from the Home Front Command.

Morning Prayer
Prayer is at the heart of the Christian life, and at Christchurch we encourage our church family to come together and pray. As our congregation is spread across Tel Aviv and Jaffa, and to enable as many possible to join together for prayer in the mornings, we hold our Morning Prayer service on Zoom normally at 07:30am. Morning Prayer is held on most days from Monday to Friday, but please check our weekly bulletin for the exact days it is being held on, and the time it starts as it may be subject to change.
For more information on joining us for Morning Prayer, please contact Fr Kevin.

Historic Jaffa has a rich and long history, and is mentioned several times in the Bible. If you would like to join us on one of our informal walks around the Historic Port and Christian Quarter of Jaffa, you would be more than welcome to join us. The walk takes around an hour, and is a good opportunity to see the other places of Christian worship in Jaffa. Contact Fr Kevin for more details.

Many members, One Body
The Church across the world is made up of many parts, and many different traditions and expressions of Christian belief. At Christchurch Jaffa we recognise the importance of working with our brothers and sisters from the other Christian traditions in the area, and regulalry come together at times of celebration such as Easter and Christmas, and at other times in the year.
We regularly pray for our fellow believers, and seek to work with them when we can, recognising we all share a common heritage and belief in the Gospel of Our Lord.
